Exhibition of children’s drawings We Are the World
On March 16, 2024, in the luxurious hall of the Sofitel St. James Hotel in London, the opening of the international exhibition of children’s drawings We Are the World took place, which is being held for the second time in the capital of Great Britain. The goal of the project is to identify and support talented children, give them the opportunity to express themselves and declare their talent at the international level.

The exhibition featured about 350 children’s drawings from the UK, France, Belarus, USA, Kazakhstan, Russia, Germany, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia, Georgia, Hungary, Taiwan, Australia, China, Sweden and Bahrain. The opening of the exhibition was attended by representatives of the Embassies, cultural and artistic figures, participants with parents and teachers from the UK, Malaysia, USA, Taiwan, Indonesia. Many of them traveled a long way so that children could attend the event and receive a diploma from the organizers and words of support from the jury.

The We Are the World competition, which was first held in 2018, attracts the attention of the public in different countries. Exhibitions of the participants’ works were repeatedly held in the Parisian Carrousel du Louvre, at the Sofitel Paris le Faubourg, as well as in London, Astana, Dubai, Los Angeles, and Seoul. Publications from France, England, the UAE, China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Malaysia call WATW exhibitions the most prestigious exhibitions of children’s drawings in the world.

The jury of We Are the World included: Karine Danielyan (Great Britain), Jefferson Lim (Malaysia), Ekaterina Cherkasova (France), Wenjin Li (Germany), Chang Kai Liao (Taiwan). For the second time, Svetlana Cameron, a portrait artist from Great Britain, heads the jury in London. The jury had a difficult task: to identify the winners of the competition. The level of work was very high.

Age group 5-9 years:

  • 1st place – Audrey Li (USA);
  • 2nd place – Daniil Bozhko (Russia);
  • 3rd place – Fiona Valerie Lin (Indonesia).

Age group 10-13 years:

  • 1st place – Shanaah Jain (Hong Kong);
  • 2nd place – Ha-Yeon Munday (Hong Kong);
  • 3rd place – Yeh Tzu-Chi (Taiwan).

Age group 14-18 years:

  • 1st place – Leyla Makasheva (Kazakhstan);
  • 2nd place – Chen Xuan-Yi (Taiwan);
  • 3rd place – Darya Dudareva (Russia).
    “The best thing we can give our children is education and opportunity. Let them grow up to be creative and self-confident people,” Lady Stéphanie Gaspar, founder of the project and president of the association of cultural diplomacy (Paris), winner of the People if the Future award for the largest international project (2023).
